Selling Avon can be difficult even for the most experienced Avon representatives. Here are a few Sales, Marketing and Lead Generation tips, tools and strategies that every Avon rep or any sales representative for that matter should have.

1) Your Own Website

One of the biggest mistakes we see new and even experienced Avon Representatives do when selling Avon is sending potential customers directly to the official Avon website.

If you’re currently doing this, you’re most likely losing anywhere from 30% to as much as 90% of your customers and sales!

When selling Avon or anything else for that matter, you have to understand that most people will browse the first time they go to a website and if you’re sending people to a website that you have no control over like Avon.com and they decide to leave, unfortunately so does your commission. 

That’s why we highly recommend that every Avon rep have a website in place, Not because your customers won’t leave your site, but because of what you can do when they come to your website like up-selling more related products, running fun contests, offering coupons in exchange for contact information, etc. 

Also, there’s a better chance that your customers will come back again and again to Your Website rather than Avon.com.

3) Social Media Marketing

Selling Avon in person is a great place to start however you’re going to want to use social media if you plan on growing and getting in contact with hundreds and even thousands of interested buyers.

Out of all the social media platforms out there, we recommend that Avon reps start out with Facebook. There are a few reasons why – the main reason is your ability to create Facebook Pages.

By creating a beauty-themed Facebook page you will not only be able to showcase new Avon products but also be able to run promotions and giveaways.
